Get Started With Natural Gas
Our team partners with homeowners, builders, and contractors to support the safe installation of natural gas systems and gas-powered appliances, including generators, across construction and renovation projects.
Cost-effective, efficient, and reliable

Installation Process
Before installing natural gas appliances, generators, or new service connections, contact Customer Service to discuss your project requirements. For any remodeling that involves excavation, dial 811 to have underground utilities located and marked before you begin work.
CUSTOMERS: Call Customer Service to initiate a request for generator and/or installation service and engage a licensed contractor to provide load data to Delta Utilities
DELTA UTILITIES: Receive the request for service, review the request and load data to determine the appropriate natural gas meter size, and provide any applicable costs for meter upgrades to the customer
CUSTOMERS: Contact the jurisdictional authority—typically city, parish, or county permitting office—to request a permit
DELTA UTILITIES: Receive payment and schedule upgrades, receive gas approval from the jurisdictional authority, and complete the requested service
Natural Gas Appliance Safety
Natural gas appliances, especially generators, should always be installed, inspected, and maintained by qualified professionals. Natural gas lines should only be installed by licensed professionals who have all necessary permits to complete the work.
Proper installation and maintenance can help extend the life of your appliances, prevent damage to natural gas infrastructure, and keep your family and property safe.
