Committed to Access
Delta Utilities Cares (DU Cares) is a customer assistance program designed to provide short‑term financial relief to households experiencing difficulty paying their natural gas bills. Funded by the Delta Utilities Foundation and administered in partnership with United Way of Southeast Louisiana (UWSELA), the program reflects Delta Utilities’ commitment to supporting families, promoting economic stability, and ensuring access to essential energy services across Louisiana and Mississippi.
The program prioritizes households that may be especially vulnerable, including older adults, individuals with disabilities, and families living within ALICE income thresholds, ensuring that assistance is delivered with equity, compassion, and accessibility.
Applicants apply through UWSELA’s secure online platform and must demonstrate financial need and provide required documentation. Assistance is administered directly through United Way, reinforcing both organizations’ shared mission to help families remain safe, stable, and connected when they need it most.
